ÜLKA and the CPS Business Forum: Experience of surviving the crisis and the way to success

We, ÜLKA, have recently become members of the SUP (Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs), which opens up new opportunities for us to attract investors and develop partnerships. In particular, our Chief Operating Officer, Mariana Beyer, took part in the most influential business forum SUP Forum, where Ukrainian entrepreneurs shared their experience of survival and growth during the crisis.

During this event, we had the opportunity to communicate with other entrepreneurs and raise important issues related to our business. Together with the owner of the company, Yulia, we shared our experience of going through all the stages of the crisis, from ups to downs, and demonstrated our resilience in difficult conditions. Thanks to our persistent approach, we were able to overcome all the difficulties, increase sales 4-8 times, enter new markets and develop new products.

Among the ideas and thoughts that inspired us at the forum were the following:

1. Crisis is an opportunity. Our past trials have proven our strength, and we should not be afraid of new challenges. We are ready to speak at forums, enter new markets and participate in exhibitions. Just do it.

2. Reputation in the business environment is of great importance to investors and partners. We make every effort to ensure that our reputation is impeccable. We have become a member of the CJS and are a member of the Lead Business Club, and in 2023 we plan to participate more actively in various events to be among the leaders and share our experience.

3. It is important to stick to your goals and not change them even now. Even in difficult times, you need to look for opportunities and believe in the success of your business. People want to work with those who believe in themselves and their success, despite any obstacles.

4. Entering new markets helps not only to increase revenue, but also to test the viability of the business model. Although it may seem difficult, sometimes it is necessary to step out of your comfort zone and take risks. We believe that rapid growth of small and medium-sized businesses is possible only through expansion and opening new horizons.

5. It is worth noting that expansion in itself should not be the goal. It is important to ask yourself: “Why do I want to expand? What is the ultimate goal of expansion?” Try to be everywhere not only to be present, but to achieve specific strategic goals.

6. One of the key principles that we remembered from the forum is that those who do not know their own value have zero value. This applies to both businesses and individuals. It is important to identify your unique value and not to forget about it. When we know exactly what value we bring to our customers, partners and community, we are able to build strong relationships and achieve success.

Overall, participation in the CJS forum inspired us and provided valuable practical lessons. We realized that crisis can be an opportunity for growth and scaling. Our experience during the war showed that we are able to overcome any challenges and find new ways of development. It is important to have an impeccable reputation and be an active member of the business community. We are confident that by following our goals, expanding into new markets and consciously defining our value, we will succeed and become true leaders in our industry.

The CPS Forum has become a valuable source of insights for us that will help us move forward and build a successful business even in difficult conditions. We are ready to use these inspired ideas, implement new strategies and continue to grow, proving our resilience and professionalism.
