Operating modes
The ÜLKA dry heat sterilizer supports three sterilization modes:
• 200 °C — 30 min
• 180 °C — 60 min
• 160 °C — 150 min
A separate drying mode is also available:
• 80 °C — 30 min
Drying Mode
The separate drying mode is designed to prepare instruments before sterilization. The chamber heats up to 80 °C, which helps remove residual moisture after preliminary cleaning of the instruments.
Important: The drying mode does not replace sterilization. After drying, you must select one of the sterilization temperature modes.
Rules for using the drying mode
• Place instruments without kraft bags.
• Remove visible water droplets before loading.
• Do not overload the chamber: recommended fill level is up to 70%.
• Be sure to run the sterilization mode after drying.
• For best results, it is recommended to air-dry the instruments for at least 8 hours beforehand.
If excessively damp instruments are loaded or the 80 °C mode is used incorrectly, a film may form on the metal surface.
